What Is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is based on the theory that "like cures like."

In practice Homeopathy works like this: A person is given a small amount of a substance that if taken in a large amount would cause the same symptoms the person has.

Why? Because Homeopathic theory says that symptoms come from the body's attempts to heal itself so by giving the body something that causes those symptoms you are stimulating the body to heal itself.

While the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) does consider homeopathic products to be drugs it does not regulate them as such because they are considered to be too weak to cause any serious risk to the user.
