Muscle is the best way to get healthy. Why? Each pound of muscle burns 50 calories a day compared to a pound of fat that burns 2 calories a day. Think about that. It takes 25 pounds of fat to burn as many calories as ONE pound of muscle. This is why people who are muscular can (and should) eat a lot more food than others who are not and not get fat. Aerobic exercise is all well and good (and should be a part of your exercise regimen) but weight lifting is the key to your health (this is true for women too!)
