Healthy Cholesterol Levels

Cholesterol is needed in all the vital functions of the body. Although some amount of cholesterol is necessary, too much cholesterol can be very harmful to your health. Too much cholesterol in the body increases your chances of heart disease.

You should have your cholesterol checked by a doctor frequently.


If you do have unhealthy cholesterol levels, there are many ways to improve your cholesterol level. Eating healthy food is the first and most important step. You should also stop smoking (yes, another reason to stop smoking.)

If you follow a healthy diet and exercise regularly you should be able to obtain or maintain a healthy cholesterol level.
